Dr. Jassel Fernandez is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His areas of focus include orthognathic surgery for complex dentofacial deformities and advanced dental implant surgery, including full-arch rehabilitation with zygomatic implants and complex bone and soft tissue reconstruction.
Originally from Nicaragua, Dr. Fernandez obtained his dental degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he served as chief resident.
In addition to complex implant rehabilitation and corrective jaw surgery, Dr. Fernandez provides surgical management of maxillofacial pathology including cysts and tumors, sleep apnea, temporomandibular joint disorders, and facial trauma. He maintains an active commitment to continuing education and regularly pursues advanced surgical training in both the United States and Europe to remain at the forefront of contemporary oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Outside of surgery, he enjoys travel, fitness, reading, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in Spanish.
