Najy Zarroug DDS , MD
Dr. Najy Zarroug is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Zarroug earned his bachelor’s degree with distinction and honors in Dental Surgery from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.
Dr. Zarroug began his professional education at the New York University where he earned an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Research and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2011. He graduated with honors in Dental Anatomy and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and received the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Award from The American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012 and obtained his medical degree in 2015. After medical school, Dr. Zarroug completed a general surgery internship and his anesthesia training in 2016. He then completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio 2018. Dr. Zarroug became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2020.
Dr. Zarroug has presented in regional and national meetings, participated in research, contributed to publications in a wide range of oral maxillofacial topics including orthognathic surgery, bone grafting, temporomandibular joint surgery, oral pathology, and dental implantology. He has also participated in medical mission work providing care for patients with cleft lip and palate. Dr. Zarroug is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Society.
He is particularly interested in dentoalveolar surgery, complex implantology, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and temporomandibular joint surgery. He works at our central Austin office.
Dr. Zarroug was born in Los Angeles California. He grew up and lived in different cities inside and outside the United States before coming to central Texas. Dr. Zarroug enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
